The average rent is computed using the new-household weighting system (SPNM), published by the Housing Ministry. All housing categories are included (villa, standing/economic apartment, economic plot house). Series shown: 2015–2019. Morocco redrew its regional boundaries in 2015 (16 → 12 regions), so earlier data is not directly comparable.

Morocco redrew its regional boundaries in 2015 (Loi 111-14, 16 → 12 regions). The current "Casablanca-Settat" region now includes the rural Settat hinterland that wasn't in the old "Grand Casablanca" — that's why the regional average looks like it dropped in 2015.
